Bathtub Slip Protection

An invisible, permanent slip-resistant surface built into the tub bottom itself.

Bathtub Slip Protection, beforeBeforeAfter

Bath mats curl, peel, trap mildew underneath, and slowly damage the finish they sit on. Adhesive strips are worse. We build slip resistance into the tub floor itself: a textured, permanent surface applied as part of the finish, so the bottom of the tub grips wet feet without changing how the tub looks. It never needs to be removed, cleaned under, or replaced.

Often paired with walk-in conversions, soft bottom repair, and bathtub refinishing, since combining work in one visit keeps the total cost down.

Available in North Bay, Greater Sudbury, Huntsville, and the rest of our Northern Ontario service area.

FAQ

Slip Protection: questions we hear most.

Straight answers from the crew doing the work. If yours is not here, call and ask.

How is this better than a bath mat?
Mats trap water and mildew underneath, suction cups fail on textured or refinished surfaces, and the mat itself becomes a trip hazard at the edges. A built-in texture grips consistently across the whole floor and there is nothing to remove or clean under.
Will I see the slip protection?
Barely. The texture is applied as part of the finish and reads as a subtle matte area on the tub floor. It keeps the tub looking clean and uniform instead of advertising itself.
Can it be added during refinishing?
Yes, and that is the most economical time to do it. We apply the slip-resistant texture as part of the refinishing process at the same visit.
Does it work in showers too?
Yes. Shower bases in fibreglass, acrylic, and tile all take the same treatment, and shower floors are where most bathroom slips happen.
